Wills & powers of attorney
Plan ahead for the people who depend on you
Clear, properly signed documents that say who looks after your family, your property and your health decisions.
Documents we prepare
Most people need all three documents. Couples usually prepare them together.
Last will and testament
Names your estate trustee, says who receives your property, and can name a guardian for minor children.
Continuing power of attorney for property
Names who manages your finances and property if you are unable to.
Power of attorney for personal care
Names who makes health and care decisions for you if you are unable to.
How it works
We start with a meeting about your family, your property and your wishes. You can complete our intake form beforehand to save time. We then prepare drafts for your review, and you sign the final documents in front of two witnesses at our meeting.
When to update your will
- You marry, separate or divorce
- You have or adopt a child
- You buy property or start a business
- Your estate trustee or a beneficiary dies or can no longer act
